Current Manitoba Restrictions and How Do They Affect Your Tent Wedding

Outdoor Tent Wedding With Lights

It’s no lie, restrictions have put a huge damper on weddings since the pandemic began in March 2020. We know that these restrictions can be hard to understand and cause a lot of confusion. We took the time to simplify and provide you with what you need to know about restrictions and how it affects your big day. The current restrictions will be in place February 8-22, 2022

Wedding Capacity Limits

If you are hoping to have your wedding on a privately owned property, it will be a small intimate wedding. The current restrictions only allow for Household plus 50 if everyone is fully vaccinated or Household plus 20 if one or more individuals that are unvaccinated is in attendance.

If you are wanting to have an outdoor wedding, but have a larger guest list, you can find a venue with a large outdoor space or park where you can have a tent set up for your wedding. We hear there might be a new venue opening up soon called The Secret Garden. This allows you to have 250 guests (fully vaccinated and children under 12) or 50 guests if one or more unvaccinated guests are in attendance.

Other Regulations

  • With the current health orders, for your tent to be considered “outdoors,” you can only have 50% of the walls set up.

  • Liquor services must end at 12 AM.

  • No Dancing is permitted.

Endless Events Group, Tentation Rentals, and Summer Bounce Entertainment are compliant with all public health orders and recommendations to keep our staff and clients safe.
